Jackie Bonfiglio

Jackie is an enthusiastic, fun-loving, and professional Skipper. She looks forward to creating unforgettable memories onboard with you!

Jackie is a passionate adventurer with a love for nature and the sea. Her enthusiasm for the outdoors led her to study environmental and marine science and follow a path to a life on the water. In 2019 she started as a deckhand aboard a traditionally rigged brigantine in the California port of LA and from there followed the wind down to the Caribbean as a youth sailing instructor and dive professional.

Now, with over six years working aboard sailing and motor yachts, her career has cultivated her into a USCG 100 ton licensed captain and PADI Divemaster, getting to share the wonders of the ocean, above and below, with others. Jackie enjoys identifying fish species and sharing her local knowledge about the islands and marine ecosystem, hoping to inspire their conservation. With her fun loving and sociable nature she aims to create an exciting and memorable journey while out on the water sailing and exploring with her guests. When she is not on a boat or breathing underwater, she enjoys other past times such as surfing, kiteboarding, hiking, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.

While Jackie’s sociable nature leads her to spark up conversations, laughter, and seek off the beaten path adventures, she is also cautious with an eye for detail and ensuring safety. With more than 5 years of experience working in various conditions on the water as a skipper, diver, yacht crew, and youth sailing instructor, safety is at the forefront of her priorities. Along with her USCG 100 Ton Near Coastal licence and a sailing endorsement, she is a PADI dive professional and a wilderness first responder.

*Notes:

• The skipper will have a fixed interior cabin and cannot be asked to use the forepeak cabin to allow for additional guests. Guests are of course welcome to use the forepeak cabins. 
• In the event that the listed yacht is not available, it will be replaced with a similar yacht.
