NEW: Skippered Charter Packages
Sailing Vacation enthusiasts can now book an enhanced Skippered Charter Package with the world’s premier international yacht charter company, The Moorings.
A new Skippered Charter Package has been added to the existing range of charter options offered by The Moorings, designed to cater to a diverse customer base with a wide array of sailing experiences. The Skippered Charter Package fits neatly between The Moorings’ popular sail-it-yourself Bareboat charters, and all-inclusive Crewed Yacht charters, making it simpler and easier than ever for experienced boaters and new travelers alike to organize and enjoy a yacht charter vacation with a dedicated captain on board.
The Moorings has offered Skippered charters for decades, but there are a few key differences that set this new product apart. Currently, the skippered charters are offered aboard the Moorings 4500L sailing catamaran and the Moorings 5000 sailing catamaran. Captains selected for this product will live aboard the yacht full-time, similar to The Moorings all-inclusive Crewed Yachts, which will ensure each captain is personally familiar with the nuances of the vessel and will add an enhanced layer to the yacht’s maintenance.
From a customer standpoint, the Skippered Charter Package is designed to be easy to book, with improved transparency regarding both the yacht and the Skipper, as Skipper Profiles will be available online for this product. Each professional skipper is carefully selected, fully qualified, and has a wealth of sailing experience to ensure each guest’s sailing vacation is exceptional. The package also includes skipper provisioning, which includes all the skipper’s food and drink, as well as Wi-Fi on board as standard.
The Skippered Charter Package is now available to book for charters departing from October 2023 in The Moorings’ most popular charter destination, the British Virgin Islands, and in Agana, Croatia from May 2024.

This package comes as an addition to The Moorings’ current, flexible skippered charter offering. If guests are interested in booking a skippered charter outside of the package, they are still able to do so by selecting any yacht from any of The Moorings worldwide destinations, adding a skipper, and ensuring there is a cabin spare for them.
