Title: Purchasing/Buyer
Department: Purchasing
Job Purpose: TUI Marine is looking for an experienced marine purchasing professional. This individual will be responsible for the purchasing of all yachts equipment for our sailing and motor yachts within our international yacht charter operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Process purchase requisitions.
• Purchase equipment and materials for new and existing yachts with our global partners and ensure that the equipment is received on a timely basis
• Prepare Cargo Insurance report monthly for Risk Management.
• Maintain all elements of product history in our current purchasing system (AS400) and drive the implementation of the intended future system (in development) based on Oracle financials.
• Verify receipt of goods at the bases and prepare invoice for Accounting
• Verify with vendors that parts have shipped and track shipments until arrived at destination.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will have a strong knowledge of the marine industry and have a technical background.
• Ideal candidates will have experience in international purchasing/Foreign Exchange and shipping, cargo handling, freight forwarding
• Ideal candidates will have strong computer skills; experience with Oracle would be advantageous, but not essential
• Good problem-solving capabilities and able to work independently on multiple tasks
• Knowledge of A/P and A/R and sound clerical skills.

From showing your customers all the best local sailing spots to serving cocktails and canapés, you’ll be there to make sure everything runs smoothly and they have a great vacation.
